Privacy Policy

Vertex Digital Labs LLC is the controller of personal data processed to operate UpMentor (https://upmentor.us). Our registered office is 1209 Mountain Rd Pl NE Ste N, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States.

Depending on how you use the Platform, we may process:

• Account data: name, email, password hash or OAuth identifiers, and profile details you add (handle, bio, photo).
• Offering and studio content you upload (copy, images, files, video).
• Transaction metadata: offering purchased, amounts, currency, and Stripe identifiers. Card numbers are collected by Stripe, not stored by us.
• Usage data: pages viewed, device/browser type, and approximate location derived from IP.
• Support and message content you send through the product or to hello@upmentor.us.
• Calendar data if a Coach connects Google Calendar (availability and events we create for booked calls).

We use this data to:

• Create and secure accounts, studios, and Member libraries.
• Process payments, receipts, and the Coach Platform Fee.
• Deliver offerings (including video playback and file downloads).
• Send transactional email (magic links, purchase confirmations, booking details, messages).
• Schedule coaching calls when a Coach has connected Google Calendar.
• Keep the service reliable, debug issues, and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Meet legal, tax, and accounting duties.

We use specialist providers who process data on our instructions:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
• Stripe — payments, Connect onboarding, and related fraud checks.
• Mux — video ingest, storage, and playback.
• Google — Sign in with Google, and Google Calendar when a Coach connects it.
• Resend — transactional email.

We use essential cookies and similar storage for sign-in sessions and to remember your language preference. We do not run advertising pixels on the Platform.

We share data with the processors above, with Stripe so Coaches can be paid, and with a Coach when a Member buys from them (name, email, and what was purchased) so they can deliver the offering.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or sale of Vertex Digital Labs LLC, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information.

We keep account and transaction records for as long as the account is open and as needed for tax, dispute, and legal obligations after it is closed. Message and content data follow the studio that created them. You can ask us to delete an account at hello@upmentor.us; some records must be kept where the law requires it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to appeal a refusal. California residents may also have CPRA rights, including to know and delete personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we process data as needed to perform the contract, with consent where we ask for it, and for legitimate interests in running a secure platform. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Contact hello@upmentor.us to make a request.

The Platform is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have, contact hello@upmentor.us and we will delete it.

We use HTTPS, access controls, and processors with their own security programmes. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Tell us promptly at hello@upmentor.us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Vertex Digital Labs LLC is established in the United States. If you use the Platform from another country, your data will be processed in the United States and in the countries where our processors operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change.
